That's the "boom!"
And yeah, fuck Bolton for not testifying, but I do think this is important.

Bonus: public libraries really need the patronage to stay open.

(28,811 posts)and discussions. no way am i reading this book. I actually tried reading Rick Wilson's book but within pages he was slamming Hillary and Democrats so I decided against it.
Isn't it Bolton who's been all for nuking Iran all along? The same guy who threw a xenophobic fit at the UN?

(16,937 posts)he was a MAJOR War Hawk (poor pun there - "Major" ) and was in the "vocal back-up group" for that hit tune "Bomb, bomb, bomb - bomb, bomb Iran!
Right now his picture can be found in Google when you look up: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

(28,811 posts)maybe it would have been enough. Bolton has fans in the Republican Party. But he was a greedy coward, so we'll never know.
but this is going to blow up big time in the middle of his campaign - down he goes

(28,811 posts)the negatives on trump are so huge. there's still going to be 30 to 35% of voters who will vote for him and will refuse to believe that he ever did anything wrong in his life. go figure.
this is almost old news really - death toll over 116,000 today in the US. Black Lives Matter and trump doesn't think so. he should go down in flames. people need to vote, everyone just has to vote!

(28,811 posts)Bolton will go down in history for his failure to stand up for the country when it needed him badly.

(10,067 posts)even through a library. I will listen to the pundits who will excitedly give us the dirt. I hate Bolton for refusing to testify and perhaps make a difference of changing minds on Trump and forcing the senate to hear what they did not want to hear. He is now criticizing the dems for not having more charges in the impeachment? How fucking rich is that. He could have provided them with information so they could put more charges in. Fuck him!

(6,823 posts)He couldn't show up to testify. Screw him. and his book money.
Might be possible to share audio book copies.
Sometimes audio book club members get a copy to share with a friend.
I 'doubt' there is a way to hack an audio book file.
'Probably' just not possible, huh?

(4,010 posts)for any and all things, mainly military weapons I bet.
Btw, this falls under teh category of catch me if you can. He's banking on the real fact that even if charged, it would take years after an indictment for appeals, more appeals, motions to dismiss (as the foreign countries would not fess up unless President Biden threatens to cease all arms shipments, SC appeals and finally, a real trial.
But, wait! Now his lawyers would embark on a long series of motions saying he could not get a fair trial in D.C. S, it's moved to say, NYS. Oh, no, more unfair trial crap.
See, he'll be dead before he'd ever get sentenced for this one. He might get jailed far earlier for other (and many) offenses and criminal stuff, but on this kickback issue, it would take a long time to nail his big fat azz!

(11,356 posts)(cute euphemism) that has already been clearly illustrated ...? I should be waiting on Mr. Bolton for .. what?
Mr. Bolton has always and ever had his own agenda ...
I'd be very wary of any Bolton "spin" on truth .. or even factual detail.
But .. you're free to choose.

There might be stuff in it that's secure if Trump is in office?

(59,504 posts)Think back to when the Senate was trying Trump. Even if Bolton testified and spoke of misconduct with other countries, do you think that:
1) at that point it would have impacted his support in a country where knowledge of foreign policy is abysmal?
2) If his support was where it was, do you think more of the Republican senators would have voted to impeach. Ie other than Romney?
So, Bolton had the ability to control the time and what he wants to say. At this point, if he thinks no matter what he does, Trump will lose, he very likely will not be most concerned with how it makes Trump look. He has a very strong ideological neo con foreign policy belief. He also was strongly against Russia. The foreign policy of Trump has been an unmitigated disaster for his agenda as well as the world in a different way! He might actually prefer Biden, with whom he would have big differences.
Even more, had he disclosed even more misconduct, it would reflect even worse on the Senators who voted to not remove.

(37,161 posts)Brave Sir Bolton ran away
Bravely ran away, away
When danger reared it's ugly head
He bravely turned his tail and fled
Yes, brave Sir Bolton turned about
And gallantly he chickened out
Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat
Bravest of the brave, Sir Bolton
