Bolton book could cause 'grave' damage to US national security: Top intel officials

Top intelligence officials have told a federal judge that the publication of former national security adviser John Bolton's memoir, 'The Room Where It Happened,' risks inflicting "grave" damage to U.S. national security, as part of the administration's last-ditch attempt to prevent the book's release next Tuesday.

In sworn statements submitted to a federal district court Wednesday evening, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, National Security Agency Director Gen. Paul Nakasone, and the DNI's National Counterintelligence and Security Center Director Bill Evanina all said that they believed several passages they had reviewed in the current manuscript contained classified material including material designated at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information level.

"Compromise of this information could result in the permanent loss of a valuable [signal intelligence] source and cause irreparable damage to the U.S. [signal intelligence] system," Nakasone said in an affidavit with the D.C. District Court.

Bolton has repeatedly disputed that his book contains any classified information following multiple revisions over the course of a months-long review by the National Security Council.

They seem to be missing the point. Besides, I thought they said the book was all lies, so how could it possibly be betraying any national security information?

These "professionals" are worried that Bolton's book, which was vetted by the NSC (I believe), is going to jeopardize national security.

Where the hell were these so-called patriots when Trump was meeting with Putin without aides or note-takers?

Where the hell were these so-called defenders of our Constitution when Trump was shaking down foreign leaders to interfere in our elections?

Where the hell were these so-called Americans when Trump was ignoring subpoenas, blocking legitimate testimonies, hiding documents, lying tens of thousands of times, undermining over 75 years of global diplomacy, destroying our environment, destroying our rule of law, shitting on our Constitution and just generally being a dick?

I don't give a shit if these so-called "intelligence professionals" are worried about Bolton's book. Fuck them. They missed the real problem.

By the way, how come I can see this criminality but they can't? I'm a musician and I use my brain. What the hell are these Bozos thinking?

Like Trump, they're idiots.

Deep State, my ass. More like Deep Shit.

None of those Trump sycophants are concerned with national security...they're willing to lie to a federal judge, because they know that Bolton's book shows the world who Trump really is...and it also shows that his hand picked loyalists are those who would destroy our Democratic Republic!!!

It's difficult to take his claims of "grave damage" seriously.

What graver damage can be done than appointing an idiot Texas Republican as our top intelligence official?

Remember that asshats? I don't remember these fools saying too much about Trump giving up assets that had been keeping us informed about what the Russians were scheming.

By "grave damage to US national security" they mean, "Trump and his league of idiots will be exposed for the tools that they really are".
