Excerpts:
LAKE WORTH BEACH — Delinquent customers of Lake Worth Beach’s utility company have about one more month to pay their accounts before the city begins power cutoffs. The city commission voted unanimously Thursday to approve ending a moratorium on residential and commercial disconnects that began March 17 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Electric utilities director Ed Liberty said 1,789 customers owing more than $1.1 million combined were eligible to have their power turned off as of June 4. That number increases daily, he said. Customers with accounts in arrears will be encouraged to agree on a payment plan that would allow unpaid fees to be paid over 12 months.

Liberty said not everyone who is behind on payments will be disconnected July 17. The cutoffs essentially will be spread over three weeks. Those whose power is turned off can reconnect if they agree to a payment plan, he said.

That will not be received well in Florida in their summer heat.
This in parallel with a lot of delinquent auto loan, mortgage and rent payments across the U.S.A.......

Somehow I don't think protesting in the street will decrease when you have over 20% unemployed, many of them young, a disease ravaging on largely unchecked and then start throwing people into the dark or our of their homes completely. Hope I am not overstating or spreading fake news.

is a parsing of the language I never thought I'd read.

and here we are, the beginning of hurricane season, an unemployment compensation system that's broken, people with out their jobs, and de santis with his head so far up trumps ass he'll never pull it out.

Have pity on the citizens, they didn't ask for this.
