Why waste all those resources on exploitation and domination overseas when you can do it in your own backyard? We have so much to give up here.

(10,749 posts)It would appear that Moundsville has missed the point of the national and international demonstrations and protests.

(23,350 posts)Big burden for a small town.
And, it won't fit through a McDonald's drive-up service area.
Stupid.
I saw one of these owned by the PD in the town next to mine. It takes up the whole road, seems to have a top speed of 15 mph.

(9,983 posts)Or airport snowplow. Hit up the Oshkosh. Website. Or consider it a Unimog with body dysmorphia. It's anything but a toy!

(23,350 posts)The MRAP vehicle will sit while someone tries to think of a purpose. Other than being impressive during parades.
Yes, it's not a toy. It's a white elephant.

(9,983 posts)But it's gonna need some work, to get the sander body mounted up, along with the plow and wing hoist! One of the new euro-style articulated guardrail mowers would be appropriate. That way, it'll be out and about, warmed up and ready to go if the narcs have to drive it through a meth lab.
No foolin on the mower - note the use of the classic M-B Unimog here:
Imagine a nice BROCK sweeper truck conversion - on that (Oshkosh, IIRC) MRAP chassis - and a few discretely placed sniffers (gas, explosives), and IR scanners keeping an eye out, at street level,
Would'nt that be Homemade Security money, far better spent?

(35,344 posts)Sheiff's Department has one of those. If we are invaded by ISIS we are ready. They also have an APC. We get to see them at the county fair other than that I don't know of it ever being used.

(39,343 posts)I don't know where Moundsville is but do they have a problem with IED's?
That's what this is for. It's a weapon of war. Moundsville must have a hell of an IED problem.
