We are in the NE top of the state. It's pretty red here.

Having a few thousand obnoxious entitled Trumpbots around me would not go well.

Might not be the Trump-fest that he envisions. He wants a packed arena screaming his name.

And if the Jacksonville area is turning against him, this just might get interesting.

As a fellow Jacksonville resident (“Jacksonvillian” or “Jackson-villain“?) I have a couple of concerns:
• While I welcome news of a shift in public opinion, I still wonder about the polling practices (for instance, I refuse or block phone calls from numbers I don’t recognize, and I think that is a big trend these days. And I know many others who do likewise.) How exactly has that been factored in the results of these surveys? And what’s the margin of error?
• In light of reports about ploys to disenfranchise voters — especially in urban areas — and attempts to suppress voting by mail-in/absentee ballots, what safeguards will be in place to ensure that every vote is counted?

In the meantime, we Democrats must do everything we can to get out the vote this fall. We cannot assume that Biden will defeat this traitor when the votes are tallied, but we CANNOT assume this is a done deal.
1. Get out the vote, even if it means helping neighbors get to the polls safely;
2. Donate as much as you can to campaigns. Don’t assume others will pony up, especially as the RepubliCONs war-machines kick in.

That cracks me up.

I’m going to go read the rest of your post now - but it took me a bit to get past that.

Of course I am happy to see any poll that indicates things are moving the correct direction.

However, now is not the time to celebrate success or get complacent. The concerns about making sure all votes are counted (or at least ensuring that the margin is wide enough that disenfranchisement games won’t work).

Beyond that, even if Biden has a comfortable lead, it is never the time to be complacent. There are plenty of other races that are incredibly important.

I hope that public opinion truly has shifted against Trump and that it will help take down many other Republicans along with him.
