I just signed up for my COVID-19 test for next week.

I was surprised when they asked for the insurance info. I thought these tests were free.

Anyone know what the current cost is? Last I heard, they were charging over $300, but that was when this whole fiasco took off. Just curious.

Because so many people are carriers. I wanted a baseline. Frustratedlady Jun 2020 #4

I don't know about active Covid tests, I thought many of those were free but last I checked, Quest Labs anti-body test was just ovr $100.

If I had symptoms, I would definitely get tested.

It might sound stupid, but it's for peace of mind, I guess. I've been self-quarantined for 21 weeks, but I have a lot of people come in to deliver, provide care, etc.
