So freaking god damn sad that it took a court order. How are we a Christian nation????

Thank goodness - Citing the severity of the coronavirus pandemic, a federal judge in Los Angeles on Friday ordered the imminent release of migrant children held in the country’s three family detention centers.

Just wish it didn’t take a pandemic. #covid19

?s=20

The ruling is part of an ongoing effort to release immigrants held in detention who are particularly susceptible to the coronavirus given the confined settings at facilities and the potential for spread.

In her order, Judge Dolly M. Gee of the US District Court for the Central District of California called for the swift removal of migrant children who are at one of the three family detention centers, which are run by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and located in Texas and Pennsylvania.

The children must be released with their parents or to "available suitable sponsors or other available COVID-free non-congregate settings" with the consent of their parents or guardians, Judge Gee said.

You don't need a deity or god to know that many things the U.S. does in our names

is wrong, selfish and evil.

Religion is a tool used to accomplish many of those things.

The "evil empire" was used by Ronnie Raygun and his band of merry conservatives to reference Russia. By saying these things out loud, not only are you making a mental note to do what you’ve said, but you are also informing another person of what you wish. Hello.....we are there.

The OT tells people how much they should get paid when selling their daughters into slavery.

The concept of some people being less-human than others is very Biblical. I’d say putting children in cages would be a very Christian thing to do...as long as they’re not wearing polyester clothing. Now, THAT’s verboten according to the BuyBull.

basically to satisfy the irrational unnatural need for certainty caused by diverting impatient satisfaction-demanding reproductive urges through parts of the brain meant to be patient and objective. when sex meets logic and problem solving it pushes for quick easy answers and the finality of certainty.

religion has also been used to repress sex, which increases masturbation which by default is with the right hand, which is connected to the left side of the brain. that's the wrong side of the brain for sex in the sense that the right side of the brain is more involved in to emotion and orgasm.

it so happens authoritarianism is measured with the Uncertainty Avoidance Index.

sowb also creates greed and materialism/unregulated capitalism (numbers/quantification + sex = the need for more, bigger, faster), and a wide spectrum of symptoms described as the Certainty Deficit Disorder, or CDD.

according to sex on the wrong brain humans went from chimp-like 50-50 right and left handed to 90% right handed over millions of years because as populations and conflicts increased right handed sowb increased fear, suspicion, intolerance, lack of empathy, patriarchy, authoritarianism and won over curiosity, creativity, cooperation, empathy, etc

brain structure and function evolved to favor particular sowb characteristics in particular populations, situations, and environments. sowb got much worse starting a few thousand years ago in some 'civilizations', pitting high sowb 'old world' civilizations/empires (eg europe) vs lower sowb 'new world' americas, southern africa, etc., with those established sowb-based religions making things worse. for eg, sexually repressed columbus meets the natives....

people of european descent may have brain characteristics that make them more susceptible to sowb-induced intolerance, bias, racism, and fear vs descendants of more recently 'developed' 'new world' peoples from africa.

due to anatomical differences sowb is more severe in males (hitchhiking to the moon, more dependent on one, the tool, hand) generally and that differential between higher sowb males and lower sowb females can result in misogyny and institutional patriarchy.

It's not in the draft copy, it's not in the fair copy in the other language. It's also flat out wrong.

The reason the Barbary Pirates had given for their slavery and piracy was precisely religion. They were engaging in a very lucrative jihad--you can raid and enslave non-Muslims, but not Muslims. Ottomans weren't real zipped up over their loons, but the Ottomans had scant authority that far away and to stomp would be to lose.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Tripoli#Translation_and_Article_11

It is to be remembered that the Barlow translation is that which was submitted to the Senate (American State Papers, Foreign Relations, II, 18-19) and which is printed in the Statutes at Large and in treaty collections generally; it is that English text which in the United States has always been deemed the text of the treaty.

However the Arabic and English texts differ, the Barlow translation (Article 11 included) was the text presented by the President and ratified unanimously in 1797 by the U.S. Senate following strict Constitutional procedures. According to the American legal scholar Francis Wharton the original document was framed by an ex-Congregational preacher.

It was the Barlow translation that stated "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."

There had been 2, 1 84 years ago, and another 81 years ago. There was only one man in the village who was old enough to understand what was happening. He went to the village chief and told him the gods were going to keep the world dark, but he knew how to appease the gods. He said he would do it for 10 sheep and 6 goats. The chief gave them to the man and the man pretended to pray to the gods and the solar eclipse ended. And so religion was started.

Just tell the suckers we are a "Christian Nation" and for good measures throw in Second Amendment and the kicker Abortion.

Oh, and have you noticed the OUR dunce in the White House wants the Supreme Court to take AWAY national health care for MILLIONS.

AND here the good part more will die from Covid-19 without health care. AND the non aborted children "we saved" will die sooner in life without healthcare. The perfect plan works every time. They really think we care about saving lives. ROFLOL.
