US military deployments to China region

I'm hearing a little buzz from some people being deployed that there may be something up with China. Sorry I lack specifics other than I know some people who are being deployed with China being in that conversation. They're already reshuffling troops in Germany, and we have this thing with India and China, and Pompeo has a lot more to say this week on China.

If you think about Trump being cornered right now. What might be his wild card? Might it be that he wants to blame everything on China and start a confrontation to change the topic as we head toward elections? I certainly hope not. But just curious if anyone else has heard anything similar.

There is simply no way we can win a conventional war with China. Other than the usual naval provocations on both sides, where exactly would we fight this war? Where would we deploy troops?

China was mentioned and, somewhere in the conversation, moving our ships into the region was brought up.

I have heard for years that there is no way the US should consider going to war against China, as we would lose...their troops are willing to fight to the death.

and all of the logistics would be to their advantage. It would be a short and embarrassing defeat.

I was just over 10yrs old, but I remember the shock and dismay of the adults

Note--Korean War started in 1950, just 5 yrs after the end of WWII.

We hadn't met yet, but I heard some of the stories and he wrote his account of that war. He was one who warned about never becoming involved with China in wars. But, then, none of these people in charge today would take advice from others. They are TOO "intelligent" and adverse to listening to others.

Since Pompeo seems to still be interested in his future political dream of becoming POTUS, his interest is two-fold and neither of them are what we want to hear. Just sayin'.

with China. Conflict, yes. That happens wherever Trump sticks his empowered little finger in. China's one of those interfering in our elections, of course, to keep Republicans in power. Or more specifically to avoid a Democratic administration foiling their ambitions. Trump? No Trump?

Ya know whatever they are doing will be a total fuck up. Seriously, please, no innocent people being harmed or killed.
