Why does the Washington Post give Trump's campaign manager op ed space?

I won't link to it here because I don't want to send any traffic to that stupid article. I got it on my feed today. The title is "Trump is beating Biden on the most important factor in this campaign"

It is the basic, lying conservative trope with attacks on Biden and wishful thinking about "enthusiasm" for Trump.

Why does the Post give that Trump asshole space on its op ed page? That is like free advertising...AGAIN.

Another is that it is allowing right wing idiots access to more middle of the road readers. I could see that in the Washington Times or New York Post but not the Washington Post.
