FLIPPABLE: David Gronbach for CT-SD30

Hi, I am David Gronbach. I am passionate about improving the Northwest corner of Connecticut for you and all residents in the 30th district. Let me tell you a bit about myself, my family and my background …… I am 44 years old, married for 17 years to my amazing wife Vanessa and have three terrific children, ages 14, 13, and 12. I served as the Mayor of New Milford from 2015-2017, unseating a 5 term incumbent. I am a practicing attorney and work with Vanessa at our firm, Gronbach Law Offices. We practice commercial litigation, education law, employment law, and offer government consulting services. In addition, we do pro bono work for individuals and families seeking asylum in the United States.

Vanessa and I previously owned the well-loved Bank Street Book Nook bookstore in downtown New Milford.

I am just like you
I know the Pandemic is the priority now. I experienced Covid-19 symptoms and spent weeks trying to avoid going to the hospital. I know what it is like to lay in bed and worry about your health and the health of your loved ones. I’ve had to apply for mortgage forbearance and know what it is like to stress over financial and work issues.

I have worked with small businesses applying for the complicated Government relief programs. I have three children that are attending school through distance learning on their school-issued laptops. We worry for their education and their future. I’ve had to prepare wills for family hospital workers worried about getting sick. We are in crisis mode.

But no matter how focused on the Pandemic we are now, this November is going to be all about the Election. Supporting a reasonable and science-based response will continue to be a priority for years. These efforts are already under attack by groups claiming the “cure is worse than the disease”.

Issues like the cost of health insurance and access to affordable health care; tax relief for middle-class; State support for education funding; economic development resources for our Towns; reducing gun violence; and environmental conservation and protection, still need to be addressed.

We are all hyper-focused on the current crisis. But if we are going to secure the safety of our Connecticut residents, we need strong leadership in Hartford to help craft solutions. I am proud of Connecticut’s response thus far, but the true test will be in sustaining these efforts in the months and years ahead. I am running to be part of that effort as your State Senator.

Thank you for your support and engagement.
