The power of the presidency, ripe with abuse

How many of you thought the president of the U.S. could disregard the constitution and get away with it? Well, it's been happening since trump took the white house. Serious change needs to take place to ensure this never happens again. A president should not have the power to fire those doing an investigation on corruption, even is he/she is the target. "Serving at the pleasure of the president" is a phrase that should be removed from our government. We now know what that phrase means when we have a president who only pleasures himself. Our system of checks and balances has severely broken down. All it took was one bull in a china shop and a toady greedy senator to completely lift the veil on what happens when someone unabashedly corrupt becomes president of the U.S. and head of the Senate. They force all the other pansy senators in their party to capitulate. The few moderate senators that were left sold out their constituents long ago for the few loud mouth racists voters in their districts. What a joke they have become. Most of the justice department, including the attorney general needs to come under a new board consisting of senators and congressmen which can include the president, but the president only has one vote. It's the only way to keep this from happening again. This one president has done more destruction to our system of government in my lifetime than all others combined. The problem has become so obvious that even right wing propaganda has trouble legitimizing it. We better fight for what's left or it will soon be gone.

Trump has only been able to get away with these things because our entire political system of checks and balances has been so totally corrupted, and our once independent fourth estate has become a corporate fifth column that allows this corruption to go unchecked..

the power of the Attorney General, our own BarrBarrHut, and how he is so able to work in concert with BunkerBoy and Moscow Mitch McTurtle. If any one of those three, President, Senate Majority Leader, or Attorney General, had ANY integrity at all we would not be in this fix.

Quite the powerful combination - one that needs to be broken by the power of the vote!

but for the last election cycle it's the fault of every voter that cast a ballot for who is there now. Let's hope they take some responsibility for this mess before they vote again.
