The dynamics in that family has to be very toxic.
To think that the family as a whole - from his kids, exes, siblings, etc. acquiesce to his every demand or whim is mind boggling. I guess you could understand an employee fearful of him, but his family? All of them, save Mary?
Then throw in both branches of the Republican Congress - elected members with huge egos, their staff, Governors, local politicians, the RNC, various business associates, so on and so forth ...
I am so damn curious to gain insight to his childhood. I bet his parents were afraid of Donald.
Maybe old Fred kept bailing Donald out financially because Donny blackmailed or extorted it out of the old man. That sounds exactly like Trump.
As an aside ... there are people like us, I don't mean Democrats, but people who do not bow, or cave to him. Like us, the Lincoln Project, Justin Amash, Kasich, Hollywood ... we are not afraid of him. I'm not afraid of his Tweets, or his lawyers, etc. Beside not worried about being primaried, why are we so different?
Anyway, I wish the book was already here.
PS: It's the wee hours of the morning. I can't sleep. I know my post got long winded. My apologies. I have a doctor's appointment at 8am, and I'm kinda worried about it. >sigh<

But he's ruthless, with no conscience. I'm sure many people who have encountered him over the years (especially his early years) thought he was an ordinary businessman, where a handshake meant something. I wonder how many times he told someone "You have my word", only to sucker punch them later. I'm glad I've never met him.
My doctor called after 6 this morning to cancel. Her brother passed away last night from Covid-19. She was crying, I feel so awful for her. Damn pandemic!

Any ideas on why fancy dipped nuts are associated with this book? Anyone else have the same experience?
