(15,324 posts)Religions, especially the abrahamic-centered ones, are geared toward a top-down governance. Usually a male-dominated one.
Oddly, many governments are geared the same way.
It's not because this is the logical, scientific, evidence-based way it should be.
It's just because some people (usually white males) want power. They aren't smarter or stronger or better than anyone else.
They just are better manipulators. Liars. Con artists.
Strangely many of the populace like being conned.

(32,712 posts)For some, like these religious people, control comes from outside not within. They have no control over their world, they are not responsible and have no choice except for what they are told. Others, think and act in the best logical way with no regard for authority as an excuse to act. They have internal Locus of Control.
