Here's one loathsome creature I will look forward to seeing booted out next year

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos rejects part-time reopening for schools amid COVID-19 pandemic

By COLLIN BINKLEY, AP Education Writer

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos on Tuesday assailed plans by some local districts to offer in-person instruction only a few days a week and said schools must be "fully operational" even amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Anything less, she says, would fail students and taxpayers.

DeVos made the comments during a call with governors as the Trump administration launched an all-out effort to get schools and colleges to reopen. Audio of the call was obtained by The Associated Press.

Ultimately, it's not a matter of if schools need to open, it's a matter of how. School must reopen, they must be fully operational. And how that happens is best left to education and community leaders," DeVos told governors.

President Donald Trump has insisted that schools and colleges return to in-person instruction as soon as possible. Trump said Monday on Twitter that Democrats want to keep schools closed "for political reasons, not for health reasons."

We should not ask educators who care about children, who make those children the foundation of their careers, to endanger their own lives, and the lives of those children they care for. Reopen schools when it is SAFE, and ONLY when it is safe. And Fuck Shitgibbon and Cruella DeVos.

Having dealt with the Department of Education extensively over the last three years dealing with my own borrower defense claim and my loans in general I'm not sure she understands what "fail students and taxpayers" means.
I called the Ombudsman about not being able to get any type of pay history or calculation of how the loans accumulated for three years and she basically said I doubt that happened you need to call them back. Them being my loan processor.

I can't imagine there will be even one state that does not have budget issues. There is absolutely no way that costs per student won't go up just due to implementing whatever measures schools implement. So it's certainly reassuring to see that was not mentioned whatsoever.

Yeah schools open fully and here's 25% less money to do it!

Going to be a lot of angry parents come late August early September when public education ends up being online a lot more then people seem to think it will be.
