Boy what a difference between Rachel's overview of Mary Trump's book, and Maggie Haberman's

overview on Anderson Cooper‘s show

Haberman really diminished the actions of trump and his family implying it is nothing new

Rachel and Suzanne Craig exposed just how bad the actions of the whole trump family are. In my view it is a bombshell, and why trump is doing everything to stop the book, and arguing that the SC should not allow release of his tax returns

If those tax returns are what the book lays out are valid, trump should be going to jail, and why it is becoming clear that trump will not go easy if he loses the election

Nancy Haberman, Maggie’s mother, works for the PR firm, Rubenstein

Howard Rubenstein’s work history with the Trump family began early with Fred Trump. Then in 1990, when Donald and Ivana were going through their divorce, Rubenstein took on Donald’s personal PR – doing the dirty work of spinning that nasty mess into something that wouldn’t tarnish Donald’s name and brand irreparably

But the Rubenstein firms’ ties and access to the Trump administration don’t stop with the Trumps. JARED KUSHNER is another high-profile Rubenstein client. And Jared’s relationship with Howard appears far more intimate.

So, Maggie Haberman has a powerful parent, who’s connected to all the inside dirt on Donald Trump, his family, his business, Jared Kushner, Jared’s family, Jared’s business, and Nancy is paid to spin all this dirt into PR gold. We’d call that… access.

But Maggie’s “job” is JOURNALISM, not PR. Journalistic objectivity requires detachment. It requires cold, hard facts. The kind of PR Maggie would have to do for real estate developers connected to the mafia, and/or sons who visit fathers in the federal penitentiary, is not the best look for the NYTimes – arguably the world’s most prestigious journalism brand. But it is the PR relationships that give Maggie her access. And if she doesn’t do the bidding of the spin masters – the bidding of their clients, she loses her access to them.

Right message, wrong messenger: NYT’s Peter Baker decries the ‘normalization’ of Trump’s presidency

Dan Froomkin
PressWatchers.org, June 20, 2020

In Friday’s New York Times, the paper’s White House bureau chief, Peter Baker, tut-tutted the “normalization” of Donald Trump’s presidency – as if he himself, along with his colleagues, weren’t among the people most responsible for it.

Snip...

I try hard not to take strong positions on public issues even in private… For me, it’s easier to stay out of the fray if I never make up my mind, even in the privacy of the kitchen or the voting booth, that one candidate is better than another, that one side is right and the other wrong.

Continues....

I knew nothing about Baker and have just read a lot on Twitter & DU, and Haberman's own words to know what she's about.

Some times Maggie seems to call out trump but Not enough.

Sounds like from this article that Baker talks out of both sides of his mouth. This is from June 20th. wonder how he's feeling about how "normal" trump is now?

What I found most impressive was how Rachel broke down how Ms. Trump is planning on defending her decision to violate the NDA and that her and her family were essentially victims of fraud committed by the rest of the Trump family was very compelling.

And it now appears that she has the receipts to prove it.
