We should impeach Donald J. Trump

no I haven't fallen asleep for the last 8 months or so.

After the election in November... assuming we have control of the House and Senate by decent margins...

We should start impeachment hearings against Trump for the Russian payouts to kill Americans, for the criminally negligent response to Covid-19 and for possibly other corrupt activities. The articles should be drawn and and voted out of the House on Jan 3rd, 2021.

The trial can be conducted over the course of 2 weeks so and the Senate can vote to convict by Jan 18th or 19th. I know they likely will not vote to convict and remove but they might.

We should do this not only because it is the right thing to do, but mostly because after he loses the election... I fear the right wing will do everything they can to finish packing the courts and creating even more chaos by executive orders, etc. I simply want to see the Senate and Trump so tied up with impeachment that they fail to act on any last minute "screw the country" actions they might dream up.

Not to mention that Trump should be in the history books as the worst President in history as confirmed by impeachment and conviction.

will inflict as much damage as he can in an effort to punish the electorate that betrayed him...he has to be stopped and Pelosi should be ready to bring articles of impeachment forward the day after the election...

If not, a criminal prosecution of him and Bill Barr would be justice.

The Republicans then have to opportunity to field a much stronger candidate. Is that what we want?

He needs to be voted out of office by a landslide to illustrate to his faithful their position in the nation. The hard right think that they are some huge majority of the only True Americans, they need to have their perspective altered.
