Religious exceptions to federal laws

The Supreme Court ruled, 7-2, on Wednesday that federal employment discrimination laws do not apply to teachers whose duties include instruction in religion at schools run by churches.

Creating exemptions from discrimination laws for religious institutions will allow them to brutalize employees at will. With no recourse or protections these organizations are now allowed to demean and demoralize their staff and they have no legal recourse to resolve this treatment.

Secondly, how far will this go? How long until a company like Hobby Lobby files a lawsuit for exemptions based on religious grounds? Or any company? What is to prevent any company from putting the word "god" in the mission statement and then using that as an excuse to exempt themselves from federal discrimination laws?
