But we don't say this out loud because it's here in the US and mostly out of sight - in hospitals and nursing homes - of most Americans. But we need to stop dancing around it and chalking it up to bad policy and science denial. This is Trump at the pinnacle of his narcissistic sociopath life.

Particularly for those with preexisting conditions--the Covid comorbidity list--or those with immunosuppressant problems (my grand daughter, for instance) or the elderly who live with family and/or the disabled with compromised health issues, etc., etc.

Sending children into closed quarters where there's a high-rate of contagion, little petri-dishes that they are, is playing Russian roulette with the lives of countless Americans. The Russian roulette aspect might be why Trump is pushing it. That and he just doesn't care about anything or anyone but his own fat ass.
