No Ivy League football season this year. Just announced. No link as yet (but will be soon).

We're sad because we love this season and root for Yale. The historic Yale Bowl is not far from our house. We have a great tailgate group and we will sorely miss not seeing them this season.

This is very sad, but I fully expected it.

More later when links develop on the NYT...

Ivy League suspends fall sports due to coronavirus pandemic

The Ivy League on Wednesday became the first Division I conference to suspend all fall sports, including football, because of the coronavirus pandemic, leaving open the possibility of moving some seasons to the spring if the outbreak is better controlled by then.

While disappointed, I understand why they would do this. Apart from all the legal ramification, this would wipe out some significant brain power and deprive this country of many future leaders.

Go Bulldogs next year!

Putting kids health at risk for a sport is just dumb imo. I’m talking every level from rec league and peewee to pro football. And I imagine I’ll be saying the same about basketball, too. PS-I’ll miss tailgating and cheering on my Buckeyes.
