(8,854 posts)...when I saw her sitting in front of those shelves was a short story I read years ago titled "The Grey Ones" by J.B. Priestley. The story is about a guy who is talking to his therapist about how he suspects that the world is being taken over by a certain kind of person who sucks the life and joy and energy out of everything and everyone they come in contact with. I don't remember a lot of the details of the story but DeVos would have fit right into it, especially with this image. A true "grey one".
