Trump said he took a cognitive test "very recently" at Walter Reed Medical Center, because the "radical left was saying, 'Is he all there, is he all there,' and I proved I was all there because I aced it, I aced the test." The doctors, he continued, were "very surprised. They said, 'That's an unbelievable thing, rarely does anybody do what you just did.'"

Obviously, we know which way these "doctors" explained his performance to him!

(1,725 posts)The elderly can easily become dehydrated, and when that happens, they slip into dementia behavior that mimics serious issues. Once my Mom got enough water and soup into her, she was fine, but when I took her to the doctor, he wanted to test her. So he asked her the normal questions to test her cognitive status (similar to those above), then asked her to draw any shape she wanted (he didn't say "geometric shape" he just said "shape".) Since she was 81 at the time, her drawing ability wasn't that great, so her rectangle looked a little shaky - all sides were different lengths. So her doctor said, is that what you meant to draw? And she said, yes. He said, so it's a rectangle? "No," she said. "It's a trapezoid."
I nearly jumped up and down. I hated geometry, but I did remember, at that moment, yes! That's a trapezoid!
THAT's what "acing it" is, DJT, you jackass.
Still love my Mom dearly and miss her terribly.

(1,822 posts)Imagine having the ego to say on national tv that you aced a cognitive test. Not passed, not did well, aced, 100%. I know that always his thing, hes always doing a 10/10 job and all, but I think this takes it.

In Trump's tiny narcissistic brain he's always right and perfect and if someone dares to say differently he'll lie, distract, project, gaslight, cry "fake news" etc to shift the blame to anyone but him.
And here I thought living with one growing up was horrible and exhausting. Never in a million years back then would I have thought that the US had enough "deporable"/gullible suckers to get one anywhere near, no less close enough to be 'elected', as president.

(15,805 posts)The mere whiff of suspicion that the US President is even suspected of a serious mental problem that affects his thinking and ability to reason and make sound decisions is scary enough. That possibility is made all the worse when Trump, that bizarre circus freak, thinks it's to his advantage to boast that he actually is capable of independent.
