5. That's exactly right. Roger Ailes knew that to he had to pit the middle class against one another.

He honed his craft while working as a media consultant for Reagan and Nixon. It was easy. He saw the race riots of the '60, and used those to drive a wedge in the middle class. Bigotry and racism were around long before him, he just used it effectively enough that the prejudiced persons of the middle class came to put those issues at the top of their list of importance.

They effectively used America’s deeply embedded racism and sexism. A weakened FCC helped the process along, as well.

Although white and black could have many substitutes. It is the nature of humans to elevate themselves by looking down on others. Those of us who are fairly intelligent and self-aware seek to rise above this as we reach adulthood and find other measures of self-worth. But many stagnate and are ruled by our basic primitive emotions.

the most donations (bribes). We like to vote for winners. The politicians then follow the will of the Donors. The Republican governors opening up their economies early is an example.
