Thanks, but why would the court gag him? PNW-Dem Jul 2020 #4

Trump’s finances are his Achilles heel and he will go to the ends of the earth to insure his records remain hidden. Cohen knows too much.

If I understand correctly, Cohen was going to make a statement and was taken back into custody before he did. How can you undermine someone's freedom of speech as a condition of parole?

His "release" was not even at the level of being a parole. He was absolutely NOT free of restriction. Literally, seconds before he walked inside the building he told one of the media he's be back out to talk to him as soon as he could. Statements to the press pr the public via social media were not allowed under his agreement.

I have zero sympathy for him. He's been a lawyer at some point, and should know damn well what his limits are. Plus, I have to say again, that freedom of speech means you can speak out against the government without punishment from the government. It doesn't mean you can violate agreements made with the courts.

There's been some discussion that her refused to sign the agreement that allowed him to be physically outside the jail because of the prohibition on a book deal. I have also seen it reported that he was "too high profile" for comfort--that being out to lunch and on social media was making them unhappy.

I'm certainly nobody that has any actual knowledge so I could be wrong here.
