Covid news:

From Bloomberg today:

"Gilead Sciences Inc. advanced after reporting its Remdesivir treatment cut Covid-19 mortality risk by 62%, helping to ease concern about spreading infections."

No other details but looks encouraging. 62%, if verified, is major.

They are reporting on their own product. The way science works is to release your work and then let others peer review it.
There are numerous calls for Gilead to be investigated for releasing info in an effort to boost their stock price. Several Dem Congressmen have been quite skeptical of them.

He says about the same thing..all hype, not much depth to their drug.

But their self report will make stock go up, which is the point.

I wish I had a link to the supposed report. Could be another pump & dump (trump & dump?) but hard to know at this point.

Thus one has to be hospitalized to receive it.

So, that comment about "easing concern about spreading infections" refers to the fact we have out-of -control spread resulting in overwhelmed hospitals full of ICU patients thaat might benefit and not that its use would prevent further spread.

(Editors are still required, but apparently less often used).

If the medication work you have a better chance of not dying. Okay.

Has nothing to do with whether you get infected in the first place. It would only do that if it was a prophylactic medication.
