passing of the spirit

hello, my first post...hope I don't break any rules...many years ago i had a friend, my age and a true hippie...lovely man...he got sick..deteriorated quickly...I went over to see him...sat by his bed and he died with me watching...I heard his last breath...his body and face changed as his spirit past...it was a special moment...one that has obviously stayed with me...this memory came back to me while thinking about what happened to George Floyd...knee on the neck...I wonder what the police officer who was kneeling on Floyd's neck thought as he felt him take his last breath and feel his heart stop? while continuing the pressure of his knee on his neck...

Honestly? I don't think Chauvin felt a thing. Takes a soul to feel a soul. Nevilledog Jul 2020 #3
What a way to express this. Yes, it would be interesting and I sat here thinking about it as I was LizBeth Jul 2020 #4

too often it is not allowed to be... the police officers (Chauvin) are devoid of the empathy and humanness needed to respect the other...

this is the pain of Covid: not being able to be with loved ones... I often cry when I hear the stories... my partner has a compromised system and that is what worries me... even now, if he goes to the Doctor, I cannot be there with him

welcome to this crazy place

Profoundly moving first post.

I've been with three people when they passed.
Two were my parents and one was a friend.

It's a spiritual moment. (And I'm not talking religion.)
And it was especially so with my parents. They were there for me when I entered the world. I was there, holding their hands when they left. And that is how it should be.

George Floyd and his family had everything taken away from them in that moment. And instead of being surrounded by family and going gently, he was murdered while begging for his life.

Wonderful first post! I have wondered too, but I do not think sane folks can comprehend what goes through a murderer's mind.

hello DU'rs thank you all for the welcome and the posts...i'm flattered...what I said was worthwhile for some one to respond...
next...Ive been listing to alot of the news on TV, probably too much...i have a ? about the coverage of Moscow Mitch...he has held up everything...why? besides being a trump puppet...I've read somewhere that there is a russian oligarch...the guy who control the aluminum industry in russia who has been pumping 10's to 100's of millions of dollar's into the state of Kentucky to rejuvinate an old rusty aluminum industry...in all levels necessary to do what ever Kentucky did with aluminum in the past...lots of construction jobs now, for the upgrading and lots of jobs to keep it going...AM I CORRECT? ...if so how come I've never heard it mentioned by any of the "fake" news channels when they mention MM ( not Marilyn Monroe) and what and why he is doing what he's doing for trump and republicans...pretty good incentive Id say...
anybody out there think MM is one funny homely looking man?
anybody out there think Bill (behind) Barr(s) think he's put on weight?
anybody out there wonder what companies hair coloring trump uses and who his hair dresser is?....he'll never be fired...
