Looking at N Carolina on worldometers today

I have family that liveo there. When you go to the Active Cases chart, there is something weird that I haven’t seen for other states; there is a very obvious saw tooth shape to the graph, up and down every few days. I can’t think of any reason that would account for that. Any NC residents here that could provide a reason for that? I tried copying and pasting here but that doesn’t work.

This is Johns-Hopkins site. https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/testing/individual-states/north-carolina

Maybe taking a close look at the dates in the x axis will explain some of it.
Those low points might be weekends, then Mondays & Tuesdays show some catch up.
I seem to recall this conversation a couple months back when the whole country was doing something similar.
