So a worker in my supermarket proclaimed himself proudly as a Republican as he stocked shelves.

I remarked to him on the lack of frozen foods in the supermarket these days and our conversation went south real quick. A guy probably in his late 30s, been there for a long time, maybe took my questions to him personally. And somehow he managed to interject that he was a Republican. I was really surprised and showed it. I think he got a little annoyed with me because I said, "You're so lucky, we're in a blue state with the lowest number of Covid infections of any state." (except RI, I think) And, we have a Dem Governor.

Then he said derisively "Are you going to vote for Biden, a guy that raped 4 women?"

I was stunned and really angry all of a sudden and said "He did no such thing but Trump assaulted several women! Have your forgotten about "grab 'em by the you know what? And where did you read that?" He laughed!

Now I was real mad. The guy just thought this was fun.

"Well, then, why don't you just go and live in a red state and see how you manage without your union?"

I'm in that store a lot and I will make his life a little less comfortable from now on. I am so done with people who vote against their own best interests.

let the manager know I didn't walk into the store to get lectured about Biden raping 4 women from some young man that doesn't know shit. Regardless a Democrat or a Republican, he stepped over the line as an employee. I use the same stores and always get to know employees and management and not with just complaining, but because I am appreciative of the help I receive. But this one, I would give the management an heads up. Not end of the world, or fire the dude, but have a conversation because I do not want to hear that shit when I walk in to do my shopping.

The employee should know that.

gotten tired of hearing customers commenting on the lack of stuff on the shelves. I wasn't really complaining but I can understand how he could take it that way.

I will consider what you have said. But I truly want the guy to understand that I wasn't in any way unhappy with him, just frustrated with the situation.

However, the suggstion that Biden raped anybody is so over the top he needs to be talked to. And I think I will do it, nicely but firmly. And I will suggest that what he said was quite incendiary and could get him into trouble (and the union he's in will defend him!). A word to the wise, I will tell him.
