Dear Fox & Friends: Ignoring the pandemic makes it worse!

Watching Fox and Friends this a.m. I saw that, just like yesterday, they only mentioned the pandemic in passing (school opening order, Disney reopening) and never directly, while every other news outlet has been covering it extensively.

Because of this (and Trump's reaction) many of their viewers will violate masking suggestions and increase viral transmission even more.

They are complicit in prolonging this condition and making it exponentially worse.

A news station is supposed to inform its audience, not deceive it.

The weird thing is that they are prolonging a full reopening and return to some sort of normalcy, that which everyone (including they) desperately want.

Watching through the ads you'd think nothing out of the ordinary was gripping the whole fricking world.

3. I've seen Cavotu deal straight up with the pandemic as well as Eric Shawn just yesterday.

Shawn was, in fact, was pretty good with at least one-half of his entire broadcast yesterday afternoon.

I wonder if he'll be around long.

I avoid Faux & Frauds and any entertainment presented as news on Fox like the COVID plague.

But, I guess monitoring the Toddler's pablum feed is an important task.

My son, knowing my political views and past, used to ask me why I listened to Rush Limbaugh.

I'd answer "Because you have to keep your eye on those sons-a-bitches, or "The cost of liberty is eternal vigilance."

11. The irony is that they're hurting their own cause, and helping ours to some extent.

So.. they don't believe in science.
So.. They believe the entire world, all normal news sources both nationally and internationally are fake news doing it just to get 45.
So.. they don't believe face masks help at all.

So.. what do they actually care about? Wall street, oil and gas markets, and their own jobs/financial security, and getting their fascist nationalist leader reelected.

45 is an incumbent, and they tend to win, especially if the economy is good.
What can make the economy improve? People going out again, and spending their own $$ on things.
What can make people go out again, and spend their own $$ on things? Feeling safer to do so.
What can make people feel safer to do so? Seeing everyone else wearing the masks wherever they do go to spend $$.

Their own movement to fight face mask and social distancing requirements is the ONE thing that they COULD control to serve their own selfish self-interests and political goals.

16. CHris Wallace was pretty good today on the pandemic.

Maybe they're waking up to the fact that they are hurting themselves and slowing down the reopening.

Things may get so ad within 2 weeks that I can imagine Trump encourage everyone to wear a mask, but I can never imagine him encourage the governors to make them mandatory much less start a national testing strategy. (After thousands more have died.) That would mean admitting that he was wrong.
