This dream may be well on course to becoming a near reality in November if the multiple polls are to be believed. Of course, sucks to be them, as they finally scramble to distance themselves from President Covid, it is far too little far too late, for anyone but the basest of their base. As they fear getting wiped out politically for a generation, up ticket and down, it looks like their dreams may well come true – and for all of their nefarious undemocratic systemic suppression of the voice of the people – a near one party state may be bordering on reality – only not with them in the driving seat! And they only have themselves to blame for supporting a nasty wanker like Trump in the first place, and then wilfully ignoring his utter incompetence, treason, and the dismantling of democratic norms. 1. Ive been saying this to the folks I know.

Whatever it was that kept people from seeing the slow boiling pot their brand of "conservatism" is has gone by the wayside. The people fooled by it ( Lets call them the tax greedy "Independents" ). Have finally decided that a little less money and a working society is better than living in the Fucking purge.

That only leave the Qanon/Tea party/anti vex/young earth flat earther no mask wackadoos. Who arr going to vote for increasingly insane candidates across the board. On top of all that is that the R's have be so gross during this that all of their old chessnuts have been turned to ash. They have nothing left but guns. Anything they have to say about anything else can be remedy by pointing at a picture of Trump or any Republican Congress critter of the last 4 years.

That’s who the Republican party has really been for years as they want to have a totalitarian government where they run things keeping the little people in their place. The problem with Trump is instead of having a thinly veiled approach of being not who they really are, as all the other republican presidents were before him in recent times, Trump is the unvarnished version of a would be totalitarian megalomaniac intent on becoming a modern day version of Hitler.
