not surprised so much, but shocked. Here in NC we recorded a new daily high in new cases, almost 2,500. Hospitalizations have been going up, up, and up. I haven't found a site or source that says, "this is the number when our health care system is overwhelmed." I would really like to know that.

Republicans are either incompetent or evil. Evil is looking like the most obvious explanation.

My son lives in Florida. He is supposed to get married next month. We are trying to figure something out so the wedding does not have to be canceled. They may drive up here to upstate New York and have a small wedding, with masks. I do not want them to fly here.

His wife to be wants to get married, she does not want to put off the wedding. Can't blame her.

Texas and Florida are both experiencing exponential growth, which means that pretty much every day is going to be a record-breaker. Neither state is doing much to actually deal with the problem, and it take 2-3 weeks before you even see the results of whatever you do today. Not only that, but hospitalizations and deaths lag the rest of the numbers, so expect the number of deaths to continue rising for at least a month.

All I can say is, this country is seriously broken.

at least that is a good thing. It stops people from spreading it, at least to some extent people will quarantine if they suspect they have it and test positive. For states with little testing it can spread more.
