Re “Trump, top officials defend response to Russia bounty threat” (July 1): The real “hoax” lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The vile and ludicrous lies, divisive hate speech and lack of civility pouring from the president’s mouth on a daily basis have made our government the laughingstock of the world.

His bait-and-switch techniques to distract us from the numbers of COVID-19 cases in our country, Vladimir Putin’s use of bounties to kill our service men and women, and the credible information from John Bolton and his own niece are enough to cement his “legacy” as one of the worst “leaders” in the history of the planet. - SD Union-Tribune

Most of us call his actions what they are, treason.

5. Good that this is in the San Diego paper, a traditionally conservative newspaper that is read by

many conservative residents, and many current/retired military. The Union Tribune is the main San Diego newspaper, but the Los Angeles Times is also readily available.

I'm very curious how Issa will do in the East County as he vies for the felon Duncan Hunter Jr.'s congressional seat. - I have a feeling it may not be the easy election he expects.
