Does anyone else think QAnon is a Russian activity. or Roger Stone plot

(which is probably interchangeable) Wasn't it last year they were saying that John Kennedy Jr was not killed in a plane crash but was still alive and was going to come forward to endorse or run with Trump for his second term.. I mean, how crazy can a group be.. they are so far off the cliff they believe this stuff or promote it to the delusional

oh yes.. Our current President is retweeting QAnon..

I wouldn't put it past them. I don't think many really understand the depths of the deceptiveness of the Russian government and the fact it has been interfering in world events in a covert way for a long time, including activities which focus on division against minorities, including blacks, Asians (especially Chinese), the GLBT communities, and Jews. It is always interesting to see who takes up the mantles and how it traces back to the Russian Empire.

They can get hackers by the dozen - fund them for "anything goes" and pick and continue to fund the "winners"
Plenty of people with zero morals and an anything goes, gonzo, screw em all attitude that would LOVE to be a part of it.

Unless I imagined it, somebody posted a few days ago that guys like Stone and Steve Bannon are behind QAnon. Which means the Russians are at least indirectly involved.

Conspiracy theories are what stubborn blockhead people think shows they're smart. They put all these pieces together, often mixing completely random "facts" with invented lies to come up with the most bizarre theories, which always end up blaming the people they hate (Soros= Jews, Hillary=women, Obama=African Americans).

There's never one moment that they stop and apply common sense. I remember an acquaintance of mine dragged the bible into this Q theory, claiming that if you took each 5th word of the Book of Isaiah, it would spell out the theory, and see, this means God and "the Israelites" predicted this message about Soros.

I said, "You do realize the bible wasn't written in English? That English didn't even exist then? That it's been translated, so the 5th words wouldn't be in English?"

Blank stare. This person had gone to the trouble of picking out fifth words but without realizing that the bible wasn't written in English. And then he argued that the bible WAS written in English, or at least God had dictated it in away that would be translated into the English that hadn't been invented yet and implicate Soros.

What can you say?
"You poor thing."

These people would have been institutionalized before this. Now they're in the White House.

There's no way the Russians sat around that thought they could start some crazy conspiracy theories on 4chan that would grow to the point that it has. It would have been laughed off the table if brought up.

No, I'm very certain that Qanon started a somebody having some fun at the RWNGs expense and as grifters started to see what was happening they started in on it too. I'm sure the Russians and parts of the Trump campaign are using it now, but mostly as a way to rile up the base. There's no way they're coming up with things like Wayfair being a clandestine child delivery service. That takes an especially lost mind to even dream up. I think most of this is organic and the Russians are just there to amplify it with their twitter bot farms.

Russia has been meddling with the US for a long time. They are not new at this game. They have been playing with fake CT for quite some time as has our own government. Keeping the people confused and divided is an old trick used to control masses of people.

I would bet that Russia has adopted some Q ideologies and infiltrated the movement, regardless of who started it.

https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/social-media/russian-troll-accounts-purged-twitter-pushed-qanon-other-conspiracy-theories-n966091

Twitter announced Thursday the removal of 418 accounts tied to the Kremlin-backed Internet Research Agency, the disinformation group whose employees were indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller last February for attempted election interference.

The accounts’ tweets featured the hashtag #MAGA, usually in support of President Donald Trump, almost 38,000 times — the most of any hashtag. #ReleaseTheMemo, a social media campaign pushed by allies of the president last year that aimed to discredit some members of the FBI, was tweeted 37,583 times.

There were around 400 accounts located, which tweeted out those hashtags over 900,000 times.

That’s a lot of propaganda.

#QAnon was the second most tweeted hashtag.
