Ivanka's 'Try Something New' initiative for millions of jobless aims to force Americans back to work

...this coming as the republican Senate leadership and the WH deliberately drag their feet on more recovery money to states burdened with record unemployment, talking for months about eliminating the benefits they approved just a few months ago.

It's a dangerously cynical effort to force people back to work in an uncertain economy fraught with high risks of workplace infection, unwilling to help ensure companies and businesses provide workers the protections they need to stay safe and alive.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A new White House-backed ad campaign aims to encourage people who are unemployed or unhappy in their jobs or careers to go out and “find something new.”

___ The campaign is a product of the White House’s American Workforce Policy Advisory Board, which President Donald Trump created in 2018. The board is co-chaired by Trump’s daughter and White House adviser, Ivanka Trump, and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

“There has never been a more critical time for Americans of all ages and backgrounds to be aware of the multiple pathways to career success and gain the vocational training and skills they need to fill jobs in a changing economy,” said Ivanka Trump, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

The nonprofit Ad Council on Tuesday was announcing “Find Something New,” which it created in collaboration with IBM, Apple and members of the Business Roundtable, along with the White House and the workforce policy advisory board.

Obviously, we’re responsible for our own financial distress if we don’t “try something new.” It absolves the people who are actually responsible.

Yes folks, after spending 10, 20, 30 years building a career or connecting within your chosen field.... just go out and try something new.
Like... panhandling... I hear that can be fun or maybe be a hooker... you know... walk on the wild side. What have you got to loose?
Utterly bankrupt brainless, insulting, bullshit. Your dreams... your career mean NOTHING> Just find something new.

The House passed the Heroes Act 6 weeks ago, which included 3.5-trillion in relief aid, including extension of the $600-a-week UI benefit through the end of 2020.

Blame Yertle and the Rs, not "Congress."
