or new to some Asian cultures and that that's been a big advantage to those.

Masks and this was in February.

And the only stores in the beginning that had masks available were the Japanese stores. I was able to score gloves and wipes also.

There wasn’t a single positive case in this prefecture but 70 percent of the people on the streets and 100 percent of workers in stores were masked. I, of course, always wore a mask out of respect and courtesy.

I've read that Japan has controlled spread in the context of tightly packed population and lots of elderly. But, of course, there's now concern about the danger of cases on American military bases. Such small numbers, 100-200, that they'd be lost among the millions of cases here, but worrisome and unacceptable there. Bases are on lock-down.
