Mary Trump's book: how many Trumps do you think will read it?

Most won't admit it, but I bet they will all read it (except maybe Donald). If he does read it, he might possibly have the first breakthrough moment of his life.

I found her book to be a quite vivid portrayal of the inner workings of a supremely dysfunctional family. It feels genuine to me. It truly does explain what happened to Donald and why he is the way he is. Patriarch Fred was one fucked up motherfucker.

No doubt they will discuss it amongst themselves in hushed tones.

I find it worthwhile to read, in spite of all the press being given. The whole picture she paints is worth seeing.

Plus, support her. Trump royally fucked her.

Cockwomble#1 only reads at about a third-grade level at best. Cockwomble Jr. may do a little better, but I doubt it. And don't get me started on Little Dumber Boy, Eric.

he will not have a breakthrough moment. He's too far gone in his personality disorders for that to happen. If someone does read any of it to him, he'll dismiss it all as fake news and the lies of his niece who is just an angry loser.

The beginning of the book is actually very sympathetic towards him and his siblings, describing a serious health issue that rendered his mother virtually absent when he was just 1.5 years, and a completely unavailable father. She tells the story from the perspective of a clinical psychologist about the effect that would have on a child. Trump might really learn something about himself, and he has ready scapegoats, both parents, so his ego may accept it. More people to blame, he loves that.

I’m listening to it as I drive the last few days.

You’re right; Old man Fred was one seriously fucked up asshole. Took that to produce Trumpy.

The story of her father is tragic. Amazing that he achieved the position of commercial pilot at such a young age, only to lose it due to his alcoholism.

Donnie: "TL;DR."

I don't even think he could sit through more than ten-minutes of the audio book. Maybe a Cliff's Notes or Donald Trump for Dummies would be a better way for him to get his ego handed back to him?

@AshaRangappa
"OK. I’m done with Mary Trump’s book. Basically the President is, psychologically-speaking, a Frankenstein-like amalgamation of Idi Amin, John Gotti, Bernie Madoff, and Nell (the jungle-child character played by Jodie Foster). I need a drink

For those asking whether you should read the book, even though the above might be obvious — read the book. Seeing these qualities played out in the context of ordinary family interactions and dramas — dinners, weddings, births and funerals — is uniquely horrifying and educational."

Fred created this Frankenstein.

I'm no Melania fan, but she'd likely read it to give her a few more buttons to push when dealing with Trump.
