What are People going to do for Halloween ?

I'm guessing trick or treating is pretty much going to be cancelled.

Even the organized events people have gone to in recent years instead of the usual door to door trick or treating probably can't happen because of crowds.

So people will dress up and stay at home ? Maybe watch halloween theme movies , eat candy at home ?

No pumpkin patches .

I think one thing that could help Biden is that life will just suck for many people . Even for those who don't face the worst of the disasters caused by Trump's failure they still deal with not being able to do things they usually would have done. From vacations, parties, sports games, concerts etc . And things like weddings, baby showers, graduations .

People were ok missing these things right now with the assumption that they could just move it a few months later or even next year. But next year doesn't seem so possible either as things get worse and we aren't even seriously attempting to improve things at the national level.

Pin the mask on the MAGAt, Bobbing for hydroxychloroquine, all those new fun games. Can't wait.

Nothing.

In our apartment building, there are only two boys who are brothers and we always give them a bag of goodies. We don't get any trick or treaters in the building.

In our mountain house, we don't get trick or treaters because the area is far too rural for kids to walk from house to house.

Even as a kid, Halloween has struck me as kind of dumb. I do like candy, though!

I usually carve a jack o’ lantern, but I do that by myself or with a friend. I have candy for kids, but I stand out in my yard. Easy to keep distance with a fence.

Even dressing up at work if it falls on halloween .

I'm not into it that much . AT least not into going out but I know many who are into it.

My kids are gone, so I'll do nothing just like usual.
When they were little I drove them to town to trick or treat.

I've already let friends with little ones know that I'll have great big goodie bags for them at the house. If the weather is nice we might put the projector out in the front yard and play It's the Great Pumpkin for the neighbor kids to watch from their yards.

I've been working on trying to get a midnight outdoor showing of Carnival of Souls and Night of the Living Dead at a local park. This has been in place the last few years but something happens every year.

We bundle up with adult beverages and hand out goodies.

I will be interested to see if any public proclamations alter the tradition....and what impact to expect.

If the governor or mayor asks that kids not do the candy beg, we will comply by turning off the porch light.

We have already sent word out that our large family gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas will be skipped for 2020.

I love hanging out at home and passing out candy to kids, seeing what costumes they come up with. (The best ones last year were two teens as Bob Ross and his canvas!)

I doubt there will be many trick-or-treaters this year. It makes me sad, but it's the safest option, and I would encourage parents to keep their kids home.

Start decorating the house for post-election virtual parties.

Board up the windows, if living in a MAGAT-infested neighborhood.

This will probably end it for good.

It's about candy makers selling empty calories to little kids, and besides, on the other 364 days of the year, don't we teach our kids NOT to take candy from strangers??
