is how you know Texas is flipping. GOP are looking for ways to hold on to power as the minority

It would take a 2/3 vote by both houses of the Texas legislature to pass and they only have 83 votes in the house where they would need 100. Also, only 19 in the Senate where they would need 21.

So, to quote Jefferson and Madison....

"You don't have the votes, you don't have the votes.... Ha-Ha Ha Ha-Ha!"

They have ruined our once great state, putting most of the citizens in poverty and low paying jobs. They worship the almighty corporation and super wealthy who are given all of the benefits and protections at the expense of the environment and the poor and middle class. Governor Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and AG Ken Paxton need to be in jail for the things they have done!

If you lose your majority, you have two choices. Either make your party more appealing or you cheat.

Cheating is easier, and their party is very practiced. They will always go for the method they are most familiar with.

Far preferable to slide in a layer of protection between the will of the people and "those people" getting into elective office just because they got the most votes.
