Scaramucci Says He Wants to See Trump 'Humiliated'

(Bloomberg) -- Merely beating Donald Trump in November won’t be enough for Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as the president’s communications chief but is now seeking to oust his former boss and help elect Democrat Joe Biden.

“He has a chance here to really get humiliated, which I hope he will,” Scaramucci said in an interview. “The economy’s in shambles as a direct result of his decision making and the politicization of a health-care crisis. And so for all those reasons, he’s obviously incompetent and so we’ve got to seek his removal.”

Scaramucci, who lasted in the communications job for 11 days in 2017 before Trump fired him, is part of the group behind an effort for other Republicans to back Biden and said he is helping fundraise for another anti-Trump GOP group, the Lincoln Project.

Scaramucci is helping Biden at a time when the Democrat is ahead in polls and the economy is in recession and surveys show Americans dissatisfied with Trump’s handling of the coronavirus.
