Contrary to President Donald Trump's June claims, the coronavirus is not going away.
Trump's coronavirus-related lying spree appears here to stay, too.
The President's months-long bombardment of false and misleading claims about the virus and the pandemic, many of them egregious, continued from early June to early July -- a period that included his controversial rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a series of interviews with Fox News and other media outlets, events on the economy and the pandemic, and remarks in Texas, Arizona, Wisconsin and at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.
Trump made 200 false claims in total over the four weeks from June 8 through July 5, an average of about seven per day. Forty-one of the claims were about the virus and the pandemic, by far the most of any subject.

(1 post)Trump should be held accountable for the wrongful deaths by COVID after he publicly declared he would not wear a mask. He is in an office that people look up to and his actions hold authority under color of station. I feel that a class action law suit should be considered. Negligent Homicide, wrongful death or at least of influence of the public. Just as the First Lady Michelle Obama influenced sleeveless Dresses, a person in a figurehead position must influence in positive ways.

(206,016 posts)That's how other nations have gotten it under control, mandated facial coverings and shutting down any large gatherings. Trump, on the other hand, has abdicated responsibility, has actually encouraged mass gatherings that have resulted in spread of the COVID-19 and thousands have gotten sick and died. His lack of timely action and turning this into a political issue is the height of irresponsibility and I hold him responsible.
Well said and welcome to DU!
