New MSNBC primetime host Joy Reid will host Bill and Hillary Clinton on her launch program Monday night, according to an announcement by Reid on Monday morning, with presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden also joining the show.
"Weve got Hillary Clinton, obviously, who was the nominee in 2016, so she knows what it means to face Donald Trump in an election better than anyone else," Reid said. "And, of course, Joe Biden, who has that task now and who, if he becomes president, will have the monumental task of trying to walk this country back from what I think a lot of people would agree has been a disaster, including on coronavirus," Reid said Monday on "Morning Joe" in promoting the show.
Reid was named the new 7 p.m. EDT host on MSNBC earlier this month. She's taking over the time slot from Chris Matthews, the longtime "Hardball" host who resigned amid sexual harassment allegations earlier this year.
Reid has been a regular presence throughout the week on MSNBC, but will now become the only Black host in primetime on the channel

(15,325 posts)I stopped watching Reid for numerous reasons, but her treatment of Clinton in 2016 was appalling.
Not giving Reid the time of day.
I'll read the excerpts later.
Now Reid needs the Clintons to boost her ratings.
That's a 2 faced conveniece of sensationalist journalism.
Vomit.🤮
They should have given this interview to Maddow. Someone with far more credibility.
