party convention. The Speaker as well as the Gang of others that make up the Gang of 8,are suppose to receive Briefings in a timely many . But,Trump has put a lid on these regular Briefs. Seems to me,Pelosi and Schiff said it was well over 140 since being briefed and that was two months ago.

9. The Democratic Convention was originally scheduled for July 13-16

this year but was delayed until August due to the covid crisis. It sounds as if they are simply starting the intel briefings on the original timetable

it was delayed because of the pandemic so they decided to start briefing the presumptive nominee considering the extraordinary circumstances. The convention at this point is mostly a formality this year.
