"Covid has to be a lie or else we would have a casket shortage"

Monday nights weather permitting my neighbors all come out and visit spread out in cul de sac. We mask up until everyone is settled and then tend to lay the mask in our laps. Most of us need the lip reading to augment the hearing aids outside.

We have one maga that never masks. He generally keeps the worst of the crazy to himself, but tonight he decided tonight was a good time to bloviate. Someone asked him if he would like some masks.

He let loose, coming up for air after spewing the line in my subject.

The answer from another neighbor.

"Well you were willing to get my grandson killed in Iraq over a lie so just shut up and wear the damn mask."

She grabbed her lawn chair and left in tears.

The jackass who stirred her up left with 2 masks. We will see if he wears them.

all the people who wanted to be cremated? I know I'm not going into a box in the ground. I've told my family to throw my lifeless body onto a pile of sticks and light it up. And no sadness whatsoever. It should be a celebration of whatever shit life I was able to muster. Drink up and sing and dance!

Just laid down in a pile of wood chips and covered over for a few years, nothing left at the end but rich, black dirt to help food and flowers grow.

Unfortunately, costs of refrigerated shipping my discarded carcass to Washington are prohibitive.

Normally 7800 people die in the USA every day. Covid-19 increases that rate by a few hundred every day.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are quite proud of not being good at math.

I do keep on wondering why no one ever brings up Belgium, which so far has had 845 deaths per million of population. What in the world is going on there?

No other country includes excess deaths in their Covid-19 numbers. However, epidemiologists do look at excess deaths to determine true death rate of Covid-19. Belgium may be the only country with an accurate death count.

If we counted like they did, our numbers would be almost double.

I have a friend who lives in Brussels. She says the hospitals are fine and things are for the most part normal, though people social distance and wear masks. The deaths, like everywhere else in the world, are mostly in eldercare facilities.

reporting of any country out there.

The reality is that it will be years before the true numbers are known. For countries that actually publish accurate death statistics, as you've pointed out, excess deaths are the first place to start.

As it is, people are still disagreeing a century later about how many people actually died from the 1918 flu epidemic.

Well I do know that they are piling them in refrigerated trucks. And I have heard of mass graves as well the graves I'm not sure about but refrigerated trucks for bodies tell me how we have forgotten to actually give a shit about each other. No hoax and no one has questioned this post? Why would anyone at this date even ask about it being a hoax. Where are all these people going. Just disappear into thin air. My in-law family already getting sick. My daughter spends every afternoon collecting swabs and blood tests in Austin. No sweety I'm sorry if I seemed rude. But I thought everyone here knew that Trump was the one saying hoax along with Fox News. Which my husband secretly watches like right now early in the morning because I refuse to here or see it in my home. Democracy has worked for over 200 years not perfect. But that's the point we can change things to get it right. But if trump does what I expect Him to do nothing will ever be right again.
