Exactly this. Trump is desperate and desperate men take desperate measures. But to tear gas a bunch of masked mums peacefully protesting and protecting their kids from Trumps secret police- what kind of shithole government does that?!?! Oh. Wait.
He is going straight to the dictators play book at this time to stop people coming out against him. I think if he understood the constitution he would hate it, 1st amendment rights apply to all Americans - right? Not just the nazi storm troopers and the toadies in the senate. Heh. Seems like what China is trying to pull in Hong Kong is pretty much what Trump is desperate to pull off in America. So very stongman populist dictator wannabee.
