PBS News Hour WTF

This is at least the fourth time in as many months that Judy has interviewed a Republican politician, generally asking questions without challenging the answers. And then...no Democrat to counter them.
She always has a Republican on when talking to a Democrat.
WTF!

they don't plan every evening's program with Pro and Anti-personnel; they report the real world as they should.

Judy Woodruff OFTEN challenges responses.

Sorry missed first part of NewsHour, was listening to Joy Reid's show.

I'll likely return to my PBS NewsHour nightly, and hope to see bits from Joy's show later.

That isn't reporting the real world.

I like the reports their reporters do, but here one sided interviews are not news.

And as I said, I never see a Dem only interview.

As for her questions, why can I shout better questions from my couch then she asks?

13. There have been many, many Dem only long interviews,

including a recent one with Nancy Pelosi so long I got bored and turned it off. I think we tend to overlook Dem interviews because they seem like normal conversations to us, no angst, no teeth gnashing on our parts as when she interviews Pubs.

David Perdue continually deflected, grew defensive and nearly aggressive with some of those answers. He mischaracterized Nancy Pelosi's summaries of Republican positions that were relayed by Lisa DesJardins in the prior portion of the segment.

I thought Perdue came across badly.

they've become expert at bothsideserism.

Don't forget - most of these media types make great money, and you know what party protects it best.

It is why (broken record here) I stopped watching TV 10 years ago. And rarely listen to the radio. Can't take the lies and bullshit any longer.

yes, I've become very cynical

They have a point of view, and their programming is more commentary than News.

PBS News Hour says it a journalistic News show.

Big difference.

12. I love Judy but she is not a good interviewer

She asks no follow up questions and lets her subjects go with whatever nonsense they say.

She should leave these interviews to some of the reporters.

I've also noticed, as you said, that when she has Dem/Rep on, she'll have the R on first, ask no hard questions, then ask the D to respond to what the R said. It is infuriating.

1.) Interview Republicans almost all of the time to learn about their support for a Republican President's agenda, policies when there is a Republican President.
2.) Interview Republicans almost all of the time to learn about their opposition to a Democratic President's agenda, policies when there is a Democratic President

It's so damned exhausting and predictable.
