Mental Acuity Screening

Five years ago, my health was going down rapidly due to Hep-C. I had to take a few months off of school in the middle of the school year, and I never miss days from school. At the beginning of treatments (which, according to my doctor, saved my life), I confided to my doctor that I was experiencing what I feared was deteriorating mental acuity, especially when it came to memory. She gave me the screening that Trump is crowing about...I remember the damn elephant, and I remember the word-memorization routine. I'm pretty sure I aced the screening, but my doctor only said that she didn't see an issue.

Cool! But, I certainly didn't brag about passing that test.

That gives me hope!
Glad you're feeling better. I have to say, I'd probably screw up that "draw a cube" question.

The draw-a-cube thing is similar to what I teach in coding classes. I don't remember that on the screening I took, though, but my memory is naturally full of holes.

It might be important for people to hear, so, yes, Hep-C is curable now. Those who test positive for it may not feel anything for a while, but it catches up with most of us and it's deadly.
