On Wednesday, Kim Kardashian shared a statement in response to the recent Tweets and comments made by her husband Kanye West. Kardashian said she was moved to make a public statement due to the "stigma and misconceptions" of mental health, adding that people who are "far removed" from such experiences often view this facet of mental health through a "judgmental" lens.

Even Kanye on meds sucks, but he is extremely mentally ill, and is also demonizing the people trying to get him taken care of ie his wife and MIL.
Can we not mock and call desperately ill people name like "loony"? So gross and ableist.

I think it quite clear that Trump is mentally ill, and his illness is related to his appeal to a number of other mentally ill people
If some poor woman wearing a MAGA hat loses self-control in a grocery, when asked to wear a mask, and begins to trash the place, I regard as warranted your call for decent human sympathy
Trump himself is not mentally sound, and he has surrounded himself with others whose sanity is also questionable
In view of the damage they are doing, I do not think decent sympathy is at present a satisfactory reaction either to Trump or to his lunatic entourage
The fact that West has so strongly supported Trump in the past is itself, of course, good evidence of cognitive and emotional problems; his more recent disavowal merely suggests that he, as a narcissist himself, is unable to deal with the realization that the narcissist Trump has been using him
In such cases, I regard it as a political duty to discuss the situation with less delicacy
