Reminder that we still have not gotten answers on Russian bounties on Americans in Afghanistan. The last I heard it mentioned was by Belgium's defense minister confirming their intel agency was investigating an April 2019 attack to see if it was related

SGRS, Belgium’s military intel was aware of Russian bounties offered for American military. This from Belgium's defense minister Phillipe Goffin during parliamentary questioning. The April 2019 attack that left 3 Americans dead might be part of this. Anyone?

1. I don't understand how this story has managed to slip under the radar.

This should be huge! Why is this not front and center in the media?

I mentioned it before and people told me to be patient, that it would surface again with a vengeance. Well? Where is it? Right now it is on the back burner and it seems as though it will remain there. We cannot let this slide. This is serious!

5. There was enough uncertainty in the reports.

Not just from the WH, but also from military folk.

It wasn't "does Russia oppose us" but "was Trump notified" + "how secure are we about the intel that the Russian funding did anything?"

Even the initial report said money was offered; some said money was paid. None were able to connect it to anything specific. If the Taliban rooked the GRU out of a small mound of dough the GRU wouldn't fess up and the intel would be exactly the same.

It boiled down to an anonymous source with scant corroboration with a lot of suspicion and people hoping that the Russians had gotten US soldiers killed as support.

On this issue, and demanding under oath answers who knew , and when they knew it. trump and republicans should be kept on the hot seat for this , and still doing nothing, or denouncing putin for it.
