Portland Is Likely A Test

A test of what? A test of how much the public and federal courts will tolerate, I think. So far, with a couple of exceptions, the people who have been kidnapped by Trump''s goons, have been released unharmed and uncharged. That indicates, to me, that the idea is to whisk people away to test whether such behavior will be tolerated by the people.

Now, they have tear-gassed the Mayor of Portland. Now, they have shot a man in the head with a "less than lethal" projectile, causing serious injury. Now, they have tear-gassed protesting "moms." They are escalating their test to push the limits of tolerance.

They are measuring the extent to which they can violate people's rights without legal or political blowback. Portland is an experiment, I think. An experiment that will produce data that can be used in future cases.

Because of that, the reaction to their entire experiment should be immediate and forceful, in a legal sense.
That's why cases are being brought in federal court from the very beginning of this incident. I hope federal judges do not allow the federal government to get away with even the slightest denial of individual constitutional rights.

Portland is a critical experiment. The consequences of it should send a clear message to Trump and Barr.

However, what the lawsuits cause will set the tone, I think, for future incursions by Trumps Secret Police. With any luck, he'll get slammed hard for Portland. We'll see.

similar scenario in 1968 in Chicago. Mayor Daley joint in with Nixon and ordered the Police to do what ever it took to create a Political master piece of a staged Riot. And as we know,it worked for Nixon's Law and Order platform.

This was just another Quid pro Quo. Daley avoided Federal Investigation and Nixon got his White House.

Same Game, just a new Bunch of Players.

I wonder if Trump is thinking about sending the goons here. I'll bet not.
