I’ve been moderately interested in the history of Latin American republics and watched from afar as democratically-elected governments are supplanted by authoritarian states. Trump’s,Barr’s, and Cuccinelli’s behavior should be frightening to anyone who’s paid even the slightest attention to the histories of our hemisphere’s sister republics during the second half of the 20th century.
