I realize that virtually none of the people on this website will end up voting R in November.
But there are...Others.......

Claiming the president is right-leaning is fucking idiotic

(34,179 posts)The proof is in his record, which is very much the record of a center-right president, about on par with Eisenhower. That might be an unwelcome truth for you, but it is the truth all the same.

(34,179 posts)One that ranges from handing the insurance industry a mandated monopoly, to continuing and expanding our imperial military adventures, to trying to stimulate the economy with more and more tax cuts and tax credits, the same shit that got us into this mess.

(1,124 posts)Your president, D or R, is always well to the right, i.e., "What? This guy thinks people should pay money for health care???"
That being said, I agree with your essential point: With a bunch of loonfucks in the Congress, there have been limitations on what Obama has been able to accomplish. But, as far as this Canuck is concerned, he's accomplished a LOT! Americans, being in the thick of the moment (fucked-up metaphor), sometimes don't realize that you have one Hell of a leader.

He's your hero isn't he? Or, no, maybe, ummmmm, let me guess, "LYNDON LADOUCHE FOR PRESIDENT !!!!" isn't it. Good luck with that.

(34,179 posts)Bringing up Sanders, Kucinich, Nader and LaRouche as possibly being my rave faves.
But never denying that Obama is a center right president.
Telling, very telling.

(82,383 posts)since we haven't convinced a majority of our fellow citizens to vote more progressively. Maybe the media does not help, but we have freedom of speech and could still work on it.
Two people got really angry at you and got their posts hidden to you in this thread. Meanwhile, you came out unscathed. I haven't seen that done in a while. You win the thread. LOL

Those shitheads - if elected - will pound the last nails in the coffin of this country.

(62,683 posts)That's what every Republican will be doing in November, and we need to do the same.

(1,124 posts)99.9% of the time, that's exactly the choice we face, in your country, my country, every country where choice is even permitted.
