The proof is in his record, which is very much the record of a center-right president, about on par with Eisenhower. That might be an unwelcome truth for you, but it is the truth all the same.

One that ranges from handing the insurance industry a mandated monopoly, to continuing and expanding our imperial military adventures, to trying to stimulate the economy with more and more tax cuts and tax credits, the same shit that got us into this mess.

Your president, D or R, is always well to the right, i.e., "What? This guy thinks people should pay money for health care???"

That being said, I agree with your essential point: With a bunch of loonfucks in the Congress, there have been limitations on what Obama has been able to accomplish. But, as far as this Canuck is concerned, he's accomplished a LOT! Americans, being in the thick of the moment (fucked-up metaphor), sometimes don't realize that you have one Hell of a leader.

Bringing up Sanders, Kucinich, Nader and LaRouche as possibly being my rave faves.

But never denying that Obama is a center right president.

Telling, very telling.

nothing to deserve what any of those idiots will do to this country... hell, I didn't deserve what Dumbya did to us, for that matter.

My life hasn't been that of a saint.....
... but even I haven't done anything to deserve that fate.

Those shitheads - if elected - will pound the last nails in the coffin of this country.
